Having issues with POP3 service not remaining off and http port being reset to 3000!

  • Hello Support,

On a ramdom check using: https://mail1.cfts.com/mddp, I found http PORT back to 3000 from  80, and the POP3 service would turn its self back on! This has happned a few times, really screwed me up with lets encrypt.

    - As an update on further tests, seems the POP3 services reactivates almost instantly, don't see it until I relaunch the mdaemon configration session tool.

Possible for some advice on why this is happening and a cure :)

  • In MDaemon under Setup / Preferences / UI, do you have the option enabled for "Preserve server on/off states"?  If you do not have it checked, please check it.

Do you have MDaemon configured to make a backup of its settings every day?  If you do, please go through the backups day by day so we can determine what day the Port= value in the WorldClient.ini file changed from 80 to 3000.  If you'd rather not go through them, let me know and I can provide a link to upload the files to me and I can go through them.

Have installed any new versions of MDaemon during the time period when the port could have been changed from 80 to 3000?

Have you restored any files from backup during the time period when the port could have been changed?

Does the webadmin-changes log show the value getting changed via MDRA?

Could somebody else have changed the setting in the MDaemon UI or by editing the file?

Could MDaemon have lost the ability to read settings from the WorldCllient.ini file at any point?

Are there any errors in the windows event log that may be relevant?  Such as disk errors?

Are there any errors in MDaemon's system log that could be related?

If you search every drive on your computer for worldclient.exe, how many are found?
