Migrate from other mail server

  • Hello,

Anyone know how to import a user account including their mailbox from other mail server into mdaemon?

  • If the other server supports ActiveSync, you can use the ActiveSync Migration Client to migrate the mailbox data.

You can find documentation for MDaemon\App\ASMC.exe at MDaemon/Docs/ActiveSync Migration Client.html

If you'd prefer to use a UI instead of a command line utility you can run MDaemon\app\ASMCUI.exe.

There are also numerous free IMAP migration tools available on the internet that you can use.

  • i got this error, anyone know why?

    231011 084635770 W [2BE90F3A] 0x8160201A Unable to verify supported protocol versions

  • What does the log show happening before that message is logged?

I believe it means that the server either doesn't support or doesn't advertise support for ActiveSync protocol 14.1.

  • The logs is

  • That error should only be logged when the server doesn't support the required protocol version or the required protocol commands.  The log shows that both are supported.

We have created a new version of ASMC.exe with additional logging.  Can you run this version and post the log that is generated?

You can download the new ASMC.exe from https://mdaemon.sharefile.com/d-se289e6b55725490089c67d987dd3b6fb.

  • My apologies for the delay.  I have an updated ASMC.exe available that should correct the issue.   If you'd like to try it please download the new file from the URL below:

    https://mdaemon.sharefile.com/d-se289e6b55725490089c67d987dd3b6fb

Then go to the MDaemon\app directory and rename the asmc.exe file on disk, and copy the new file to the same location.  Then run it again.  If you are still getting an error, please post the log.

    Thank you,
