ActiveSync Android Gmail Subfolder notification
-
On android phones we do not receive notifications when mail is saved in sub folder due to custom filter.
The mail is configured in Gmail with Exchange.
Mobile: Samsung Galaxy S24
I don't know if anyone else has had the same problems or if there is a workaround?

Have you configured the device to sync folders other than the Inbox?
If you have not, you can configure this in the settings. Account Settings / Select your account. Set the sync frequency as desired.
Click folder sync settings, select the folder and check the box to sync them.
If you have, is the mail from those folders being synch'd to the device automatically?
There are options in the same menu to manage notifications, unfortunately I'm using an emulator and it won't allow me to change the notification settings so I can't tell you exactly how to do it.

Hi Arron,
Yes, in the Gmail account settings, we have checked the option to synchronise the folder.
We have also changed the frequency of checking for new emails. But it does not notify, although the folder is synchronised, as the received mail is in the folder.

If you go to Manage Notifications, does the device offer notifications for the sub folders?
If Manage Notifications does not offer options for notifying when mail is received in a subfolder, I'd suggest contacting Samsung.
