USER_IN_WHITELIST DEPRECATED: See USER_IN_WELCOMELIST

    Recently I'm getting some spam coming through and at least a couple of them have then entry in the log:

    Wed 2025-06-04 20:48:15: * -100 USER_IN_WHITELIST DEPRECATED: See USER_IN_WELCOMELIST

    I can't figure out where this Welcome list is so that I can edit it.

    It is the SpamAssassin welcome list.  Check the .CF files in the \Program Files\MDaemon Technologies\SecurityGateway\SpamAssassin\rules\ directory for WhiteList entries.

    Thanks Aaron, I did have that thought eventually and you confirmed it, haha.

    Any chance this could be added to the Help file?

    At first glance, it doesn’t appear that adding this to the help file is necessary, as SecurityGateway doesn’t have a built-in option for adding entries to the SpamAssassin whitelist. It’s possible the file was edited manually or that the SpamAssassin files were copied from an MDaemon installation. If that’s the case, we understand how that might be confusing, and we appreciate you pointing it out. This isn’t the typical setup, but we’ll review it further to be sure.
