Mail client on mobile

  Currently, many customers are looking for a mobile email client that is fully compatible with MDaemon. They hope to have a mobile email client application that can automatically pull client configuration from the server, similar to Microsoft's Autodiscover service, allowing users to complete all email client setup by simply entering their username and password on their mobile devices.

  Can MDaemon launch such a client app?

  I believe a completely free mobile email client app featuring the MDaemon logo would enhance the product's competitiveness.

  MDaemon supports the AutoDiscovery service.  https://help.mdaemon.com/MDaemon/en/autodiscovery--server.html

  There are numerous clients available that are capable of using the AutoDiscovery service for configuring the client, including the built in clients for iOS and Android. 

  MDaemon also includes an ActiveSync server, but it requires the purchase of an add on license.  With ActiveSync a single account can be configured on a mobile device that syncs email, calendars, contacts, and tasks.  Without an ActiveSync license you can use IMAP for email and the DAV server for syncing Calendars and Contacts.

  Such client software is typically optimized primarily for its own server products.

  This is especially true for Chinese email service providers like Tencent and NetEase, which all offer their own mobile email clients.

  On one hand, this ensures high compatibility with their own server infrastructure; on the other, even when connecting to third-party mail servers, it effectively boosts their brand visibility.

  Regarding O365, adding these SRV records does not appear to be mandatory, as creating a single Autodiscover record is sufficient.
