Copy users from MD to SG

  Is there any facility for setting up matching user accounts in SG that are in MD?

  I want the same user accounts with same password & Aliases in SG as are configured in MD. Although, the Aliases are probably not critical as long as Minger works I think.

   

  I know I can Export Users from MD and import them into SG, but the format is a bit different.

  The export from MD does have the same columns, but the Export from SG has quotes, I guess I'll try it and see, but was curious before I screw something up.

  Email

  "MailBox"

  "Domain"

  "FullName"

  "Password"

  "Enabled"

  MD Export:

  Email

  MailBox

  Domain

  FullName

  MailDir

  Password

  John,

  SG 9.5 added support for verifying users and aliases via MDaemon's XML API.  This system is more robust than Minger, and in particular, it is able to verify the user's password even if MDaemon does not have a local copy of the password (non-reversible encryption, Active Directory).  SG will create users and aliases as accounts are accessed.
