MDaemon 24.0.1 don't support hypertext link with parentheses

    since upgrading to MDaemon 24.0.1, we've noticed that links containing parentheses no longer work in the webmail interface.

    Example of a link with version 23.5.3:
    https://xxx.xxx/(W(606))/Main.php

    Links since version 24.0.1 :
    https://xxx.xxx/
    -> The hypertext link stops as soon as it finds a parenthesis.

    However, if you test using the ASCII code of the parenthesis, it works fine (%28 and %29).

    This is a very paralyzing problem. Any ideas on how to fix it while waiting for a 24.0.2 patch?

    I was able to reproduce the issue and have submitted a bug for the development team to review.

    I've found 2 work arounds:

    1. You can also just copy the URL from the body of the email and paste it into the browser.

    2. You can switch to the Lite theme.  Before you switch, you should know that Lite is just that.  It intentionally a very simple theme theme and does not have all the features of the other themes.

    thank you for your reply. With the lite theme it works fine, but this theme is really very...light! Do you have any idea how long it will take to get a fix?

    You can download patches for the LookOut and WorldClient themes from the link below.

    https://mdaemon.sharefile.com/public/share/web-s6ccec73f457f47db91611905e5ed1f2c

    Before installing the patch, backup the existing files by renaming the corresponding files to .old,

    Then copy the files from the paths in the zip file to the matching path in MDaemon\WorldClient directory on disk.

    After the files are in place you'll need to restart webmail and clear your browser caches.

    Unfortunately to fix this in the Pro theme, we will need to release a new version.  At this time we do not have a date for when it will be released.
