Running SecurityGateway for Email Servers v10.5.2 (64 bit)
Last night emails to the primary email account started bouncing with a 550 Recipeient Unknown error
Logging into MDaemon, the account is there and all history is there.
Logging into Security Gateway and there is NO history. The email account is gone.
Yet the email account works to log into the Security Gateway.
No indication of any errors, the primary email account just vanished.
Any and all help to fix this would be GREATLY appreciated
Note that any emails to this email address will be returned Recipient Unknown until we fix the problem
HELP !

First, make a backup of the database and upload it to us along with all of the SG logs for the day the issue started and the email address of the account affected so we can take a look.

Do you have a user verification source configured for the domain? If you do, check SecurityGateway's inbound log and system log for any errors when trying to verify the user.
The easy fix it to manually create the user in SG. That will at least get email flowing to the account again.
In SecurityGateway, go to Setup / Users | Accounts | User Verification Sources, what options do you have enabled? If you have the option enabled to reverify users, the account could be removed again if the reverification process fails. With this option disabled, deleted and disabled accounts in MDaemon will not be removed from SG.
You should also check MDaemon's dynamic screening log to see if the account in question was frozen around this time this issue started. MDaemon could have froze the account, SecurityGateway could have tried to verify the user and received a negative response, then MDaemon could have automatically unfrozen the account after a period of time.

Hi Aaron. Thanks for the prompt reply. Unfortunately this is the Hosted version of Security Gateway, so they are hiding a lot of the information from me. I have not found where the logs are. I've been looking for them, unsuccesfully. Any insite where the hosted logs can be found?

Hi Dave,
I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were on the hosted server. You won't have access to make a backup of the database or to the log files. Your account was disabled for sending too many messages in too short of a time frame. According to the change log it was re-enabled last night about 8 PM CST. Are you still having issues?

Thanks Aaron. Yes, everything is back. You can mark this issue CLOSED
Appreciate your help.
