Remote Administration Web Browser Bug

  • Hi, is anyone aware of a bug in the web browser remote admin ui? I'm creating a Public Folder and trying to edit the access permissions. I've setup a group consisting of selected users but if I try and add this group to the access permissions I get an error "The Group Name XXX is invalid". If I perform the same action in the desktop application version it works just fine.

  • What version of MDaemon are you using?

When adding the group to the public folder ACLs try changing the group name to be all lower case letters.  For example, if the group name is MyGroup, change the value in the Email Address field on the Access Control dialog to be "GROUP:mygroup".

I've submitted a  bug for the development team to review.

  • Hi Arron, we are on version 26.5.0. I will try the lowercase trick!

  • Arron, the lower case trick seems to work. I would still consider this a bug though as when selecting the group from the picker it defaults to Upper/Lowercase or as the group is named i.e. "Group Name" not "group name".

    Thanks

  • FYI another potential bug I spotted today was in the Content Filter. On the actions when trying to implement a "move to public folder" the "Save" button is permanently greyed our or disabled. I had to use the desktop application to perform this action!

  • @Trevor Yes, its still a bug and it was submitted to the development team for review.

  • @Trevor Thanks for the additional bug report, it has also been filed for the development team to review.
