What is AUTH X-MDWEBMAIL and how to disable it?

  Starting from version 23 MDaemon shows the X-MDWEBMAIL authorization type in the SMTP session:

   

  250-ETRN
  250-AUTH LOGIN CRAM-MD5 PLAIN X-MDWEBMAIL
  250-8BITMIME
  250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES
  250-PIPELINING
  250-CHUNKING
  250-STARTTLS

   

  What is this and how to turn it off?

  X-MDWEBMAIL is a custom authentication method for webmail to use when sending mail.  It is required in order for webmail to be able to send mail via an authenticated SMTP session.  

  The X-MDWEBMAIL authentication option is only available for connections to MDaemon's own IP address and to local host.  

  It cannot be disabled.

  Why are you wanting to disable it?

  It's ok if the X-MDWEBMAIL authentication option is only available for connections to MDaemon's own IP address and to local host and not for external connections.
