Query to URIBL was blocked - Using Microsoft DNS Server
-
I have a MS DNS server on the LAN which forwards queries to public DNS servers which is common practice. I created the following conditional forwarder rule for URIBL. I specified the root servers, as the forwarders, based on the info at the bottom of this article.
My queries are still being blocked.

Hello Jeff,
I haven't tried setting up the forwarding of URIBL queries using root hints, but I will look into it.
I noticed that the screenshot shows the domain as "dnswl.org". Did you set up a separate conditional forwarder for "uribl.com" as well?
Regards,
Jared

Thanks, Jared. I checked my conditional forwarder for uribl.com and it was not correct. I forgot to add the dot at the end of each entry.
Example: a.root-servers.net.
It seems to be working now.
