Dropped attachments with Outlook 2016 and MDaemon Connector 8.0.3

    Since updating to MDaemon Connector 8.0.3, attachments are being dropped from sent messages in paricular cases. 

    I have tested this on Windows 11 with these versions of Outlook installed:

    • Microsoft® Outlook® 2016 (16.0.5507.1000) MSO (16.0.5548.1000) 64-bit 
    • Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2604 Build 16.0.19929.20136) 64-bit

    In cases where messages are sent from the Drafts folder, attachments are dropped - there are no attachments on the message in Sent Items, and the recipient receives no attachments). The same can happen for inline images.

    This problem occurs only after an upgrade to 8.0.3 - everything works normally on 8.0.2, then the problem is experienced immediately on upgrade to 8.0.3.

    I'm using MDaemon Server 26.0.1

    Can I downgrade MDaemon Connector to 8.0.2? Can the problem be resolved?

    Hello,

    This issue should be resolved in the version of MDaemon Connector (8.0.4) releasing later today with MDaemon 26.02. 

    The release notes will show:

    • [29491] fix to attachments added after resuming a draft may disappear when sending or saving the message

    In the meantime, you can download each client to 8.02, but you will need to install it at each client, and disable the setting to automatically upgrade, so if you can hold off for today that will probably be easier for you to upgrade to 8.04.

    MDaemon 26.02 has been released, which contains MDaemon Connector 8.0.4, which fixes this issue. You can download the installer here:
