Calendar - New event broken

  • Hi,

We are using the latest version, 26.0.4.

    Theme: Worldclient

Since the last update, It seems the event creation window is malfunctioning; when we click "New Event," the popup opens, but we can't do anything else.
    For example:
We enter a subject, select the date/time, and click "Add Event"; it refreshes briefly but loses the date information.
If we click "Add More Details," the same thing happens as described above... The "X" icon to close the popup doesn't work either.

we have to press F5 to get out from the calenadar.

  • There were not any changes in webmail included in MDaemon 26.0.4.  What version were you running prior to installing 26.0.4?

Have you cleared the browser cache?

    What browser are you using?

  • Hi Arron,

    We were using 26.0.2 version.

Yes we have cleared the cache, even tried with "incongnito" mode.

I think, its happens only with google chrome, because i have tested with edge and it's works.

Switching to Lookout theme works too in chrome.

So it's something with google chrome and worldclient theme.

If you want i can send you a screen recording.

  • I was able to reproduce the issue, but it seems like a chrome caching issue.

I know you've said that you've cleared the cache and it did not fix the issue for you.  Try opening Chrome's developer tools (CTRL+SHIFT+I), go to the Network tab and then check the box for Disable Caching.  Login to webmail and attempt to reproduce the issue.  Do you still have the issue?

If you do not have the issue go back to the network tab in the developer tools and uncheck the box for disable caching.  Log out and back in, does the problem return?

  • We've done more testing and found that the issue returns as soon as you restart chrome.  We've made changes to a couple of files to deal with the changes in chrome.  You can download the files from

    https://mdaemon.sharefile.com/public/share/web-sb522b15ac29e4ec39310177f5d1c33d4

These files are for MDaemon 26.0.4.  Make a backup of your MDaemon.  Then extract the download files to the \MDaemon\WorldClient\HTML\WorldClient\ directory.  Restart Webmail and clear your browser caches.

Let us know if you are still having issues.

  • Hi Arron,

    Sorry for the late reply.

I really appreciate the tests you’ve carried out and the fact that you’ve spotted the bug.

After copying the files, do we need to restart any MDaemon services? As the server is in production, we don’t want any downtime.

    One more thing:

I no longer receive email notifications when someone replies to a thread.

In my profile, I can’t see an option to tick or untick whether I want to receive notifications or not.  What could be causing this?

  • After you put the new files into place, you will need to restart webmail.  You do not have to restart the entire MDaemon server, but if you do it will also force webmail to restart (unless webmail is running under IIS).

There were some settings unintentionally changed around the time of my last response that could have caused issues with notifciations.  If you do not receive a notification about this reply, and you are following the thread, let us know and we can investigate further.

  • Hi,

we also have the same problem. We are using Mdaemon 26.0.4.

The problem happen with Chrome adn Edge, while Firefox work. Of course it work also if we using Pro insted Worldclient. Is it planned any fix?

  • The changes provided in the patch will be included in the next release of MDaemon.  The patch can be downloaded from https://mdaemon.sharefile.com/public/share/web-sb522b15ac29e4ec39310177f5d1c33d4
