MD Connector 8.0 random crash-restart on 32 bit

    ..getting lots of reports of Outlook 32-bit (all OL 2013 on 64-bit Win10/11) after upgrade to MDC8.0.  Tried a few typical outlook settings changes, and also rebuilding a profile from scratch (delete localcache.db/attachments) and setup complete new profile.  no joy.

    *gut feeling is that it might be centered around appt/task reminders, as some are reporting crash on dismiss, while others are reporting random crashes while they're not even sitting at the desk (they come back to a freshly started outlook sometimes with many 'envelope' icons in the systray).  I physically observed a random crash while just sitting there for 10 minutes and watching it whilst not interacting at all.  gut feeling only.  no proof.

     

    *workaround is, uninstall MDC8.0 and re-install 7.0.7.

    *Office 365 (MDaemonConnectorClient64.exe) seems unaffected.

    Please advise!

    We are working on a fix for what sounds like the same crash you are having.  To confirm if its the same, please collect crash dumps and upload them to us.

     Another potential work around would be to upgrade to 64 bit versions of Outlook.

    Installed 24.0.1 last night. We had 5 machines affected with this issue, with Connector reverted to v7.0.7.
    Updated Connector on all of them, seem to be working OK now.

    Upgraded to 24.0.1, mdc 8.0.1.  No issues so far.
