[MDaemon 24.5.2] : Problem with send button when replying


  • Hello, 

    on several occasions, I've had users report that they were unable to send an e-mail.
    Each time, it's the same scenario: when replying to an e-mail, clicking on the send button doesn't send the e-mail. Nothing happens, it just clicks without reacting. But that doesn't always happen...

    Any idea why?
    This happens in version 24.5.2, but it was the same in 24.0.2

    Can you let us know what WorldClient theme your users are using, as well as what browser?

    When you say that it doesn't always happen, do you mean that clicking the send button does not always have a problem or something else?

    Does it start working if they save as a draft and reopen the draft to send it?

    Does this problem persist if they switch themes temporarily or if they log out and back in?

    Does it always happen when replying to the same senders?

    Browser: Chrome

    Yes, clicking on the “Send” button works most of the time.
    As for the draft test, I can't answer your question at the moment, but I'll see when I hear back.
    As for the theme change test, I'll have to test that too at the next opportunity!
    And finally, no, the senders aren't necessarily the same.

    Another thing to check is if the users have any browser plug-ins, and if disabling those stops the problem from occurring.

    I just had a new case this morning and here is my feedback:
    - No Google Chrome extension
    - Save mail and send -> KO
    - Disconnect and reconnect -> KO
    - Disconnect, change theme (WordClient to Pro) -> send mail OK.

    Any ideas?


  • Hi Guilbert,

    The next time it occurs, when you open the message compose window, please open the browser console (Ctrl+Shift+C) and see if it shows any errors.

    If it does, please let us know what it shows.

    Please also check the SMTP-in log to see if there is any record of an attempt to send, and any errors there.
