New Outlook

Maybe this has been asked, I never have great luck with your search engine..
It appears that Exchange/Activesync (EAS) protocol is being deprecated in the "New Outlook" app for Windows 11 and beyond. If this is true, what are the Mdaemon options for mobile devices (as IMAP is not really a solution for calendars/tasks).
Any insight?

The "New Outlook" does not support the Exchange ActiveSync protocol.

Most mobile devices come with an email client that supports ActiveSync as well as synching Calendar and Contact data via DAV servers. There are also 3rd party email clients such as K-9, Bluemail, eM Client, and I'm sure many others available for mobile devices.

@Arron thanks Aaron. Unfortunately not super great when all the mobile users demand to use only Outlook, forever.
so, Mobile Outlook will eventually become incompatible with Mdaemon (outside of IMAP of course) ??

I agree, please share your feedback with Microsoft.

I have yet to find a statement specific to Outlook for Mobile device about Microsoft's future plans. In general, Microsoft is deprecating ActiveSync and basic authentication. The "New Outlook for Windows" does not support ActiveSync.
I verified today, I can still configure Outlook for Mobile to use ActiveSync to connect to an MDaemon account.

..when has that ever done a darn thing? :-)
..as for Outlook Mobile, I tried on a few iphones yesterday and the "add account" setting does not even offer EAS as an option. Perhaps there's an older app and a newer app(?) ..I dunno, but the app I tried did not even offer EAS as an option for a new account. Maybe I am mistaken on the mobile app? (for now?)

What version of Outlook are you using on the devices? I'm testing with the latest version available to me 4.2511.0.
When I set up a new account it defualts to IMAP, but there is a button in the top right corner for "Not IMAP" that allows you to choose Exchange. After entering all the setup info, and clicking add account, Microsoft's servers connect to my server using ActiveSync.
