Does Outlook's Junk/Block Sender Not Work w/ MD Connector?

  • It seems like, when I mark an e-mail in Outlook as Junk/Block Sender, future e-mails from those senders never get automatically removed from my inbox and moved into the junk folder like they did before using Connector.

Is that just something not available?

    Thanks,

    Dave

  • What version of MDaemon are you using?

What version of Outlook are you using?

What version of MDaemon Connector are you using?

Are you using multiple email clients?  MDaemon Connector and Outlook can't actually move the message to the junk e-mail folder until the message is downloaded.  If Outlook is turned off, and you are checking email on your phone, the message will be delivered to the inbox on your phone.  When Outlook starts and downloads the message, it will be moved to the Junk E-mail folder.

I just ran a quick test and is working for me, when a message from a blocked sender is downloaded the message is moved to the Junk E-mail folder..

  • Ok, thanks for checking. It just seems like I get recurring messages from senders I know I've blocked, but maybe they're subtly changing their sending address or something. I'm running MDaemon 25.0.2, Outlook 365 Version 2503 (Build 18623.21078 Click-to-Run), and Connector 8.0.2. It's probably just a perception issue on my part.

And yeah, I do have Outlook on multiple computers and a phone, and I recognize that they don't share blockings, but like I said, on my main  machine, it just sometimes feels like the same senders are getting though.

I'll do a more intensive check to make sure, but I'm sure you're right, and it's just my perception.
