ActiveSync for users moving to new device


  • Hello,

    When a new user get a new mobile device and we sign them into the new device,

    I see 2 devices ID's on the user account. Do we have to manually remove the device ID?

    Does that mean the user is using 2 activesync licenses?

    You can if you want, but you do not have to.  There is a setting in MDaemon that will automatically remove them after X days.  You can find the setting in Remote Administration under ActiveSync | Tuning.  "Remove inactive clients after this many days"

    Does that mean the user is using 2 activesync licenses?

    No, activesync is licensed per user, not per device.
