    Hi, I have a user trying to forward an old email as an attachemt that also has a word document attached and MDaemon server is refusing to send it suggesting it is a virus. I outlook he gets a "550 5.6.0 Sorry, virus detected within message". If I try to send an email with the same email attached using Thunderbird it just refuses to send and Thunderbird gets an error dialogue as below.

    I'm trying to find which part of MDaemon is blocking this message. We have ClamAV and Ikarus enabled along with Outbreak Protection. I've looked in all the logs and I can't seem to find any evidence of what is preventing this email being sent. FWI there is no virus in the email or attachment so I'm assuming a false positive.

    Hello,

    Are you able to find the session in which the message is being rejected in the MDaemon SMTP in log? Can you post a copy of the session?

    Thank you for the response. I managed to find entries in the SMTP(IN) log and ascertain it was ClamAV blocking the file and refusing to send!
